It’s Culture Week In Stockholm!

If you’re in Stockholm his week (11th-16th August 2015), you’re in luck as Stockholm celebrates its annual Culture Festival, with loads of free events going on across the city!

The theme this year is the United Kingdom, and we are intrigued to see exactly what that will entail!

What we know:

The main stage will be graced with many of Sweden’s biggest names  in what Stockholms Kulturfestival describes as ‘epic concerts and immersive experiences’.

Look out for:

  • Award winning dancers
  • a contemporary circus (on Sergels Torg)
  • Pop Art super-structures at Norrbro
  • Over 40 different walking tours!
  • Plus 7,000 dominoes and pianos placed around the city…

The second stage will house film nights under the stars at Skeppsbron and the Kulturhustaket roof terrace.

There are activities for the kids.
A youth programme for those aged 13-19: Kungsträdgården is set for an action packed programme with a takeover from Europe’s biggest festival for young people: We Are Sthlm.

And that’s not to mention the range of sports, circus & theatreliterature & talks and film & photo events and activites going on throughout this week!

Check out their website to browse the full program by genre or by day and treat yourself to a bit of culture this week in Sweden.
